VIS is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Verbier. The school is based in two different buildings: Chalet Mascotte and Chalet Orny. The school was founded in 2011 and has grown progressively without losing its family ethos and focus on outdoor education. The school is distinct in that it offers year-round education but also welcomes students and families exclusively for the Winter term. VIS also offers boarding throughout the year, a Winter term experience, as well as weekly and flexiboarding.
To be recognised as a significant day and boarding school delivering a broad education which leads to the development of outstanding global citizens.
Chalet Mascotte , has a large playground and boasts excellent sports facilities within walking distance. Primary-aged children love the wooden chalet with pleasant classrooms and comfortable places to sit, relax and read..
Excellent facilities include an IGCSE science lab where young scientists can experiment, a well-equipped music & dance room, and a balcony garden where our students love to grow vegetables and flowers.
Secondary students use a separate, well-equipped building, Chalet Orny, in central Verbier.
Adjacent to the building is a fantastic playground with access to a multi-use games area for ball games and an adventure playground.
Chalet Orny includes several classrooms of different sizes so teaching can occur in full classes or in smaller, breakout groups.
We develop partnership and trust to prepare prospective families for life in Verbier for both day students and boarders.
